Same Day Results Tests
At Zenith Primary and Urgent Care, we offer a variety of tests with same-day results. These include:
- Glucose: Otherwise known as blood sugar testing, glucose testing uses a blood sugar machine to measure the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. This allows us to monitor your glucose levels in response to diet, medications, exercise and can help to diagnose diabetes. It is important to ensure your blood glucose levels are in a healthy range, as glucose is what provides the body with energy. Too little glucose can result in hypoglycemia, whilst excessive amounts of glucose can result in hyperglycemia. Both of these can lead to severe illness.
- Mononucleosis: Mononucleosis is a blood test used to diagnose Infectious mononucleosis (commonly known as mono). Mono is a virus that is spread through saliva. Symptoms may include nausea, fever, fatigue, sore throat, headache and body aches, swollen lymph nodes, swollen eyes and rash. It can result in serious illness.
- Pregnancy: An HCG test, otherwise known as a pregnancy test, can be done using a urine sample to determine pregnancy. Here at our lab, we specifically perform an advanced blood test that has high accuracy.
- Hemoccult: A Hemoccult test assesses a stool sample for hidden blood. This can assist in assessing the cause of anemia, gastrointestinal bleeding and colon cancer.
- Electrocardiogram: An electrocardiogram is a non-invasive test that assesses the electrical activity of the heart. It can help to diagnose heart conditions. This includes coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, heart attack, heart disease and congenital heart defects.
- Liver Enzymes: A liver enzyme test, also known as a liver function test (LFT) or hepatic panel, is a group of blood tests that measure the levels of enzymes, proteins, and other substances in your blood to assess the health of your liver.
- Kidney Function: Kidney function tests assess how well your kidneys are filtering waste and extra fluid from your blood. There are several types of kidney function tests, including blood tests and urine tests.
- Cholesterol: A cholesterol test, also known as a lipid profile or lipoprotein panel, is a blood test that measures the amount of cholesterol and other fats in your blood. It can help assess your risk of heart disease and stroke.
- Electrolytes: An electrolyte test is a blood test that measures if there’s an electrolyte imbalance in the body. Electrolytes are salts and minerals, such as sodium, potassium, chloride and bicarbonate, which are found in the blood. They can conduct electrical impulses in the body.
- Uric Acid: The uric acid urine test measures the level of uric acid in the urine. The uric acid blood level can be checked using a blood test. Uric acid urine test is performed to check for uric acid in urine. Urine is collected over a 24-hour period and is sent to the laboratory for testing.
